I create Musical Art

in my own style of contemporary figurative art, incorporating elements of Expressionism, Cubism, and curvilinear stylization (stained-glass aesthetics).

My art is a visual score

The paintings are created as notes that can be heard with the eyes. I do not seek to portray the musician’s likeness, but rather his inner resonance. My painting is an invitation to hear the sounds within the silence of art.

About

BIO & Artist’s Statement

A self-taught artist and musician. Music never became my profession, yet it constantly resonates within me. I transfer this resonance onto my canvases. At the moment, my studio is based in Antalya, Turkey. I have been painting since childhood, I studied at the Art School. Later, I worked in a publishing house specializing in graphic design and other visual communications such as advertising, photography, illustration, and art. Since then, Graphic Arts has been my great passion. As a publisher, I spent 12 years (2002–2014, Moscow) producing textbooks on design, typography, form, composition, color harmony, and more. Between 2003 and 2012, I frequently served as a juror for international advertising and graphic design contests and festivals. Since 2022, art has become my primary occupation. Music in Art is my language. I do not paint portraits of musicians - I paint their breath, their inspiration, their naked soul. A musician hears and sees the world in ways no other can. The voice within my art expresses: 1. The unity of musician and instrument. They cannot be divided. The musician is the music itself. 2. Music as an inner reality.
The outer world is fractured and obscure, yet in music, everything converges into harmony. 3. Solitude and protection.
Every musician is solitary at heart. The instrument and notes are both shield and sanctuary - a space where the soul stands bare, yet safe. 4. Music as a bond with the world.
Even the lost figure in my paintings finds connection through sound, transforming chaos into order, loneliness into harmony. Listen closely to my paintings, and you may hear them sing. They are not images, but scores - music written in color and line, music to be heard with the eyes.
